June flower, Hydrangea ("Ajisai")
The flower of the rainy season (June) in Japan might be Hydrangea ("Ajisai", in Japanese). At this time of year, I see this flower in the neighborhood. It is a calm, beautiful flower. Six years ago in June, I traveled to Victoria, Canada, to attend a conference. I remembered that the garden of the hotel was in full bloom. It bloomed at the same time though there was a considerable difference in latitude in Tokyo and Victoria. I was able to find the photo right away in Google Photo. The following pictures are some of them. It seems to be common to see the flower and to feel at ease.
